Through funding from the Department of Labor under the Dislocated Worker Grant, the ARM Institute, Tooling-U SME, Allegheny County Department of Human Service and New Century Careers are offering free training to fast-track individuals into manufacturing careers!
Through this hybrid training, trainees will use the New Century Careers computer lab in Pittsburgh to access Tooling-U SME online training. Subject matter experts will be onsite to work with trainees to provide access and support through the hybrid training. At the conclusion of the training, trainees will be given a test to receive the industry-recognized certification.
This grant offers Tooling U-SME E-Learning licenses at no-cost for those who meet the qualifying criteria detailed further down on this page. The training programs included in this license are outlined below. These programs include the training materials and test for the resulting certification.

In short, you qualify for this free training if you meet the guidelines set forth in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and are located in the Pittsburgh region.
